However, for sustainable economic development and independence from non-renewable natural resources, it is necessary to restore the high quality of technical education and invest in research and development. It is also important to strengthen ties between science, business and industrial production. If a country does not invest in scientists and engineers, it will lose the opportunity to be competitive and will be forced to feed more developed countries by paying for their costs of technological progress.
